Infinita Varietà:
Vita e leggenda della Marchesa Casati

In March 2003, Corbaccio, one of Italy's premier publishers, released worldwide the Italian-language edition of the multi-award-winning biography Infinite Variety as Infinita Varietà: Vita e leggenda della Marchesa Casati.

The text has been completely revised and fully expanded by authors Scot D. Ryersson and Michael Orlando Yaccarino for the highly-anticipated Corbaccio release. Translated by Elisabetta De Medio, this hardcover edition contains the fascinating results of their continuing research on the remarkable Marchesa Casati. In addition, this version of Infinite Variety includes images of its extraordinary subject recently acquired from private family archives; among them, photographs that have never been seen before by the public, nor reproduced for more than a century. Since immediately following its release, Infinita Varietà has continued to receive major attention from the Italian and world media. La Repubblica already selected it as a 'Book of the Week,' while La Stampa noted: 'Exhaustively researched for the first time, the Marchesa Casati's life is explored through numerous accounts and first-hand interviews by the authors. Infinita Varietà reveals this extraordinary story in exquisitely colourful, almost cinematic sequences.'

Since 1923, the Milan-based publishing house of Corbaccio has been renowned for introducing many important foreign writers to Italian readers, such as Thomas Mann, Cèline, Schnitzler, Sinclair Lewis and Katherine Mansfield, among many others. It seems only fitting that, thanks to Corbaccio, this very special version of Infinita Varietà has been produced in Casati's homeland.
